The 40-day 2025 Spring Festival travel rush officially kicked off on January 14. On the morning of January 14, deputy mayor Yu Jianyong led the leaders of the Huaihua Municipal Transportation Bureau, Huaihua Municipal Public Security Bureau Traffic Police Detachment, and the Hecheng District Government to conduct an inspection on the first day of the Spring Festival travel rush.

Yu and his team successively visited locations such as the Huaihua Railway Station, the City South Traffic Police Duty Point, the Hunan Provincial Highway Group Huaihua Branch Company, the Huaihua Passenger Hub Station, and the Huaihua High-Speed Railway South Station. They conducted on-site inspections on the implementation of safety measures for the Spring Festival travel rush, safety management of passenger vehicles, capacity guarantees, and duty arrangements.

Yu emphasized the need to always prioritize safety, focusing on key tasks such as public travel services, ensuring smooth transportation, logistics, and safe production. For passenger stations and highways facing a significant increase in passenger flow, efforts should be made in advanced assessing, capacity adjusting, monitoring of key road networks and hubs during peak hours, and real-time optimization of transportation organization plans. It is necessary to implement the "Heartwarming Winter Journey" campaign with a multi-pronged approach, including: (1) comprehensively improve the quality of public travel services; (2) enhance the experience of self-driving travel; (3) ensure the smooth flow of migrant workers and students; (4) provide care for key passengers such as the elderly, young, disabled, and pregnant individuals; (5) and offer intimate and quality services to the public for their travels.  "A Safe Spring Festival Travel, A Convenient Spring Festival Travel, and A Warm Spring Festival Travel" are aimed to be created.
