Huaihua International Land Port's first China-Vietnam special train for cold chain agricultural products export departs, with 106 Tons of onions value at 500,000 RMB shipped to An Yuan, Vietnam.
On December 2nd, a special cold chain train carrying 10 standard boxes of agricultural products slowly departed from the Huaihua West Marshalling Yard, whistling south along the Jiaoliu Railway, passing through Nanning South Station, exiting from the Pingxiang Port, and heading towards An Yuan, Vietnam. This is the first China-Vietnam "Huaihua-An Yuan" special train for cold chain agricultural products export by Huaihua International Land Port, which will be redistributed to the local and surrounding markets in An Yuan upon arrival.
Currently, it is the season of onion harvest in the northwest region of China. This special cold chain train is loaded with 106 tons of onions worth 500,000 RMB from Jinchang, Gansu province. The goods were first transported to the cold storage warehouse of the Huaihua Hurricane Cold Chain Logistics Center by road, then packaged before being transported in refrigerated containers at a constant temperature of 7°C throughout the transportation to ensure the freshness of the onions.
The special cold chain train has many advantages, including fast speed, constant temperature preservation, large transport capacity, and smooth and safe operation. It not only effectively shortens the transportation time but also reduces losses during transportation. The successful operation of this special train signifies that the international rail transport of Huaihua International Land Port has achieved a fully integrated service model for international regional transport and end-to-end distribution.
The international cold chain transportation was jointly organized and operated by Western Land-Sea New Channel Operations (Hunan) Co., Ltd., China Railway Special Freight Co., Ltd., Sinotrans, and Hunan Hurricane Cold Chain Technology Co., Ltd. Guangzhou Railway Group's Changsha Logistics Center and Huai West Logistics Park Branch were responsible for dispatching, loading, and shipping of refrigerated containers and flatbed trucks. With the joint efforts and cooperation of all parties involved, the breakthrough in history of the China-Vietnam "Huaihua-An Yuan" cold chain for agricultural products export shipment was achieved, providing a new logistics channel for agricultural product imports and exports, trade relations between the central and western regions of China, Vietnam, and other Southeast Asian countries.
Under the guidance of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and the Huaihua Municipal People’s Government, Huaihua International Land Port aims to establish a first-class one characterized by cold chain. The successful shipment of the first cold chain-exported agricultural products on the China-Vietnam railway demonstrates the increasingly perfected function of Huaihua International Land Port and the gradual highlighting of its hub role, making economic and trade exchanges more convenient. The pattern of external openness-"connecting with ASEAN, serving the whole country, and facilitating global trade"-is gradually taking shape, playing a positive and leading role in promoting more agricultural products for export and driving rural revitalization in Huaihua, Hunan, and the central and western regions. Up to now, five international cold chain train routes have been opened at Huaihua International Land Port.
Next, Huaihua International Land Port will rely on projects such as cold chain smart logistics port to build a comprehensive agricultural product cold chain logistics service area integrating logistics, trade, express delivery, supply, and marketing, helping agricultural products continuously "brought in and sold out."
