October 30 witnessed the opening of the meeting and that of the themed activity—to Promote High-Quality Development Along the Western Land-Sea Corridor Through Empowerment by Party Building Leadership as well as Extensive Consultation and Joint Contribution to the Benefit of All in Huaihua. Attendees included Xiao Xinguo, inspector of the Working Committee of Departments Directly under the CPC Hunan Provincial Party Committee, Li Siwei, inspector of the Working Committee of Departments Directly under the CPC Chongqing Municipal Party Committee, and Zou Xingwang, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Huaihua Municipal Party Committee and vice mayor of Huaihua.

According to Zou’s speech, the alliance has provided a good communication platform among provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities alike) along the line. The New Western Land-Sea Corridor Operation (Hunan) Co., Ltd. has been granted as a new member of the alliance, which would facilitate a greater integration of Huaihua into the "big family" of the corridor. In return, Huaihua will work with the rest of members to boost high-quality development along the corridor in multiple ways. Chief among these encompass mutual promotion in Party building, mutual communication in publicity, mutual sharing of resources, mutual assistance among industries, mutual promotion of information and mutual learning and drawing upon each other’s strength.

Centering around the topic of "Jointly Promoting Development by Exploiting Potential of Party Building Leadership", several representatives of the alliance conducted discussions and exchanged perspectives. Relevant departments also released the "Initiative for Jointly Building a National Demonstration Corridor for National Unity and Progress on the New Western Land-Sea Corridor" and the "Articles of Association of the Enterprise Party Building Alliance of the New Western Land-Sea Corridor". And five new companies joined the alliance, namely Chongqing Logistics Group, Pinglu Canal Group, Xinjiang Jiuding Agricultural Development Group, New Western Land-Sea Corridor Operation (Hunan) Company, and New Western Land-Sea Corridor Operation Gansu Company.

Afterwards, attendees also visited places such as the Luggage and Bag Industrial Park and the Logistics Center of Smart Cold Chain, both of which are located at the Huaihua International Land Port.
