On the afternoon of October 31, Xu Zhongjian, Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee of Huaihua, presided over the Huaihua International Land Port Construction Scheduling Meeting. In the past two years, with the support of national and provincial strategies and the joint efforts of departments at all levels, Huaihua International Land Port has rapidly taken shape, and its status and role have become increasingly important. Xu also pointed out that we must strengthen our confidence and determination, maintain strategic focus, seize opportunities and avail ourselves of the momentum, persist in building a first-class international land port featuring cold chain logistics, and accelerate the integration of ports, industries and the city.
Xu Zhongjian emphasized that it is necessary to comprehensively upgrade the capacity of the land port, improve the functions of opening platforms, continue to deepen the "13+2" inter-provincial consultation and cooperation, actively expand China-Laos, China-Vietnam freight trains and rail-sea combined transport, and ensure that the number of freight trains in operation this year exceeds 1,000. It is necessary to highlight the expansion of the industrial scale, focusing on the construction of suitcases and leather goods industrial parks, green food processing and cold chain logistics industrial parks, and cassava distribution and processing centers. It is necessary to continuously enhance the carrying capacity and accelerate the construction of infrastructure projects such as the Huaihua-Zhijiang Expressway, multimodal transport centers, dedicated railway lines, comprehensive logistics hubs for business and trade services, road-rail combined transport freight stations, hospitals, and schools. It is necessary to steadily promote the reform of the industrial park's system and mechanism, explore management models such as "small management committee + large companies", and truly realize physical operation, market-oriented operation, and enterprise-oriented operation.
Xu Zhongjian emphasized that the municipal leaders in charge should focus on promoting the construction and development of Huaihua International Land Port, focusing on key points and overcoming difficulties. It is necessary to guide cadres to conduct in-depth studies of port economy, open economy, and industrial park economy, and improve their professional capabilities and levels in attracting investment, industrial development, project construction, financial investment, and port management.
