On October 18th, large theatrical performances were held to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of Tongdao Dong Autonomous County at the center of Sasui Square of Tongdao County, creating a cultural feast with the main theme of “singing the song of national unity and advancing together in the new era”, which vividly presents the 70 year development history of Tongdao and inspires the people of the whole county to work together to build a happy and beautiful new Tongdao.
At 10:30 am, the performance kicked off with the program of "Happy Dong Village". Leaders at all levels, guests, and people of all ethnic groups gathered together to watch this grand ceremony with continuous applause and cheers by holding hands and waving red flags.
The chorus of “Remembering the Initial Heart”, the original situational stage play “The Red Army’s Changing March Route in Tongdao”, the music dance drama “The Party's Light Shining on the Dong Areas”, and the original theme song “Happy Tongdao”, etc., brought a visual and spiritual feast to the audience by vividly presenting a beautiful picture of the integration of various ethnic groups with shared beliefs, cultural exchange, economic interdependence, and emotional closeness.
“The lyrics express our feelings, the touching scenes vividly depict the story of national unity and progress and vividly showcase the beautiful scene of people of all ethnic groups living in harmony and working together in Tongdao. We wish our county will be a better place and the people here will have a happier life.” said Li Zhilin, a local audience.

The theatrical performances consist of four chapters: “Remembering the Starting Revolution of the Party”, “Building a New Tongdao Together”, “Building the Chinese Dream Together”, and “Moving Forward Together”, combining the long-standing and unique local customs with the tide of the times, guiding people of all ethnic groups to firmly establish the concept of a community with a shared future, and vividly showcasing the spirit of unity, integration, gratitude, and progress of all ethnic groups in the county through unique regional cultural and ethnic cultural programs.
