It can not only teach my children agricultural knowledge that cannot be learned in textbooks, but also allow them to appreciate the natural scenery of the countryside, " said Hao Chaowen, a tourist from the downtown of Huaihua city, who had a family trip to the Windmill Park in countryside of Luyang Town, Zhongfang County.

During the week-long holiday, various themed game activities were organized in the Windmill Park, including digging peanuts, collecting rice, raising small animals, making pottery, making fans, and painting sugar paintings, attracting over 2000 visitors every day.

The trend of “locals visiting the local scenic spots” has gradually taken shape in Huaihua, and rural areas around the city have become popular destinations. Zhongfang County, by taking advantage of its ecological environment and village characteristics, has created multiple boutique tourism routes with unique features such as ecological sightseeing, grape picking, rural experience, homestay vacation, etc.

In recent years, Chongfang County has cultivated ecological and cultural tourism as a strategic pillar industry. The number of tourists visiting this county has soared from 0.55 million in 2012 to 1.5427 million in August 2024, and tourism revenue has increased from 210 million yuan in 2012 to 1.224 billion yuan in August 2024.
