On the afternoon of July 15th, Xu Zhongjian, secretary of Huaihua Municipal Party Committee, presided over the six-month evaluation and work scheduling meeting on the construction of International Land Port and the integrated development of Hecheng District and Zhongfang County. Xu emphasized the need to thoroughly study and implement general secretary Xi Jinping’s important speeches and instructions he made during his inspection of Hunan, take adhering to high-quality development as the key principle of the new era, strengthen confidence and determination to overcome difficulties, accelerate the construction of Huaihua International Land Port and the integrated development of Hecheng District and Zhongfang County, and solidly promote the integrated development of port industry and Huaihua city. Li Chunqiu, vice secretary of Huaihua Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Huaihua Municipal Government, as well as other municipal leaders such as Yin Peiguo, Zou Xingwang, Hu Heping, Yu Jianyong, and Li Yitang attended the meeting.
At the meeting, the attendants firstly listened to the report on the construction of Huaihua International Land Port and the integrated development of Hecheng District and Zhongfang County in the first half of the year and then commented on the progress of key projects and related work, and studied and determined some other specific issues.
Xu fully affirmed on the construction of Huaihua International Land Port and the integrated development of Hecheng District and Zhongfang County in the first half of the year. He pointed out that mobilizing the efforts of the whole city to accelerate the construction of Huaihua International Land Port and promoting the integrated development of port, industry and city with the integrated development of Hecheng District and Zhongfang County as the starting point is a concrete action to deeply implement general secretary Xi Jinping’s important speeches and instructions he made during his inspection of Hunan, the core content of deeply implementing the “five new missions and four orientations” strategy of the provincial government, and the strategic support for promoting the high-level opening up and high-quality development of Huaihua, thus confidence and determination must be strengthened in the integrated development of port, industry and city.
Xu emphasized that we need to firmly grasp the work objectives by focusing on the two time nodes of holding Global Hunan Business Conference and of the end of the year and make every effort to complete the key projects and tasks of international land port construction and the integrated development of Hecheng District and Zhongfang County so as to better promote urban-rural integration and regional coordinated development. Every effort should be made to overcome difficulties and promote the resolution of main problems by strengthening the overall planning and allocation of funds, enhancing funding support through multiple channels, and ensuring the smooth progress of key project construction as scheduled. In addition, we must adhere to the combination of long-term and short-term planning for projects, dynamically adjust annual key construction projects based on facts, especially seize major strategic opportunities at the national and provincial levels, strengthen the early planning and matching of major projects, and strive for making more projects to be classified into the national and provincial planning programs. We need to strengthen organizational leadership and form a stronger working force, strictly implement the regular scheduling and evaluation mechanism, and the leaders relative departments should make every effort to coordinate effectively and pay attention to timely solving practical difficulties and specific problems on site. All relevant departments should take the initiative to improve service efficiency and fully support the construction of Huaihua International Land Port and the integrated development of Hecheng District and Zhongfang County.
At the end of the meeting, Li Chunqiu, vice secretary of Huaihua Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Huaihua Municipal Government, summarized that we must keep aligning with national and provincial policies to continue to promote smooth international and domestic trade and further enhance the level of Huaihua International Land Port, vigorously promoting innovation and entrepreneurship, further promoting the clustering of industries in the port area and the integrated development of Hecheng District and Zhongfang County.
