Huaihua 2024 Cross-border E-commerce Employment and Entrepreneurship Event is slated from July 5 to 11. The event is hosted by Huaihua Municipal Bureau of Commerce and Huaihua University, co-organized by the Municipal Bureau of Human Resources and Social Affairs, Huaihua International Land Port (Cross-border) E-commerce Industrial Park, Huaihua Customs, and Hunan Cross-border E-commerce Association, and organized by Business School of Huaihua University.
At the launching ceremony of the event, Wu Xianjin, member of the CPC Huaihua University Committee and vice president of the university expressed that Huaihua University would take the opportunity of holding the event to further strengthen industry-university-research collaboration with relevant parties and deepen industry-teaching integration to explore new modes and methods of e-commerce talent cultivation featuring the collaboration of government, industry, academia, research and utilization sectors. The university would also strengthen specialty construction, improve curriculum system, enhance teaching force development, update teaching methods, and improve teaching quality, so as to ensure that students can learn and master real skills.
Wang Hui, deputy director of the Municipal Bureau of Commerce, said that the purpose of holding this event is to further stimulate the innovative spirit and entrepreneurial enthusiasm of young students, and provide them with more opportunities to understand and participate in cross-border e-commerce practices. It is hoped that through such activities, a bridge of communication can be built among the government, university and enterprises to jointly promote the rapid development of the cross-border e-commerce industry and inject new vitality into the economic and social development of Huaihua and Hunan.
Li Chun, deputy director of Huaihua Customs, stated that Huaihua Customs will fully leverage its functional advantages to actively expand the capabilities of open platforms, establish smooth, efficient, and well-regulated logistics channels, and continuously enhance policy research. By collaborating with multiple departments to conduct promotional training, Huaihua Customs aims to support e-commerce enterprises through various forms, and offer round-the-clock services for customs clearance, so as to propel the high-quality and leapfrog development of cross-border e-commerce enterprises in Huaihua.
Wang Long, vice chairman of the Hunan Cross-border E-commerce Association, introduced the association’s experience in promoting e-commerce employment and entrepreneurship, and mentioned that cultivating cross-border e-commerce talents who are well-suited to the demands of the industry is a crucial responsibility and mission for universities to keep pace with the times and effectively serve society.
Shu Xiaohui, dean of the Business School of Huaihua University, introduced the research of Hunan International Land Port Research Center of Huaihua University and the teaching reforms and practice designed to cultivate e-commerce applied talents.
In the seven-day training, with the focus on the interpretation of cross-border e-commerce employment and entrepreneurship policies in Huaihua City, the macro environment and basic knowledge of cross-border e-commerce, marketing strategy and operation practice, TIKTOK live operation and practical exercises, and other core contents, experts from the Municipal Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security, Huaihua Customs, and Hunan Cross-border E-commerce Association are invited to give lectures and organize practical exercises and other trainings to help students have a better understanding of Huaihua International Land Port Cross-border E-commerce Industrial Park and correct employment and entrepreneurship concepts, laying a solid foundation for their future careers.
