On July 24, the video and telephone meeting on workplace safety, flood prevention and drought relief and the third plenary meeting of the Municipal Fire Safety Committee were held in Huaihua, and we will thoroughly implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s statement on workplace safety, put into practice the guiding principles from the provincial video and telephone meeting on workplace safety, flood prevention and disaster relief and from the third plenary meeting of the Provincial Safety Committee in 2024, make an analysis of the status quo of workplace safety, flood prevention, drought relief and fire safety, and arrange the key tasks in the next stage.Yin Peiguo, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Huaihua Municipal Committee and Executive Vice Mayor, presided over the meeting and delivered a speech.

Yin Peiguo pointed out that, since the beginning of this year, the municipality has made efforts to carry out a three-year campaign to tackle the root causes of workplace safety and a bottom-line action to keep safe, and to take coordinated measures for flood prevention, disaster relief and fire safety. The workplace safety is kept stable in the whole city.

Yin Peiguo emphasized that it is of necessity to regard the identification and elimination of hidden dangers as the top priority, and spare no efforts to promote “self-inspection of enterprise, mutual inspection between industries, diagnosis by experts” and implement the “three-inspection and one-exposure” strategy to warn of hidden dangers of exposed problems. We must keep a close eye on safety precautions in key industries such as mines, hazardous chemicals, fireworks and firecrackers, transportation, construction, and tourism. We must pay close attention to post-disaster recovery and reconstruction and take coordinated steps to make preparations for drought relief. It is of necessity to intensify efforts to promote the full-chain rectification of safety hazards of the “two power companies”, the special action to smooth the “life channel” for fire fighting, and the “two-year action” for the construction of fire stations. We must attach importance to bolster the intrinsic safety, aiming to promote fundamental solutions such as “civil air defense, technical prevention, engineering prevention, and management prevention”.
