On the afternoon of June 21st, 2024, the commendatory meeting for outstanding Communist Party members, workers, and advanced grassroots Party organizations was held in Huaihua City. Xu Zhongjian, secretary of the Huaihua Municipal Party Committee, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. It was presided over by He Zunqing, deputy secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and secretary of the Municipal Political and Legal Affairs Committee. Li Wanqian, chairman of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People’s Congress, and city leaders Li Bo, Li Weilin, Yang Zhihua, Yin Peiguo, Zou Xingwang, and others attended the meeting.
At the meeting was released the Decision of the Communist Party of China Huaihua Municipal Committee on commending excellent Communist Party members, workers, and advanced grassroots Party organizations in Huaihua City. The Municipal Party Committee has decided to award 49 comrades including Yang Yulin the title of “Outstanding Communist Party Member of Huaihua City”, 50 comrades including Zhao Wei the title of “Outstanding Party Worker of Huaihua City”, and 50 party organizations including the Wangjialing Village Party Branch in Liangshuijing Town, Yuanling County the title of “Advanced Grassroots Party Organization of Huaihua City”. Daring to take on responsibilities is a distinctive character of Communist Party members, Xu pointed out. It is a must to focus on the national and provincial strategic initiative, actively take responsibility around the central and overall situation, focus on difficult problems, bravely tackle them, seize historical opportunities, and strive for secondary entrepreneurship. In the hot practice of building a “5+10” modern industrial system, promoting the integrated development of Hecheng district and Zhongfang County, enhancing comprehensive rural revitalization, attracting investment, preparing for the 11th Global Hunan Business Conference and the 5th Hunan Tourism Development Conference, it requires to show our skills and strive to be the first to promote new breakthroughs and results in high-level opening and high-quality development.
The goal of Communist Party members is to enable the people to live a better life, said Xu. It must always practice the development concept centered on the people, firmly establish and practice the correct view of political achievements, regard serving the people as the greatest achievement, deeply carry out the implementation of the “four down to the grassroots” system, and carry out practical problem-solving activities for the people. It needs to regularly carry out “seeking and promoting” activities, and use our head and heart to solve the urgent and difficult problems of the people, so that the achievements of reform and development can more and more widely benefit the people of the whole city.
The courage of self revolution is the most distinctive character and greatest advantage of our party, said Xu. It is a must to tighten and strengthen the responsibility of governing the party, establish a correct direction for selecting and employing personnel, persistently uphold integrity, discipline and anti-corruption, and carry out party discipline learning and education from beginning to end. It is also a must to adhere to the combination of strict management and kindness, and attach equal importance to motivation and restraint. It requires to conscientiously implement the “three distinctions”, take responsibility for those in charge, and support those in charge, and create a clean and upright political ecology.
