During the work conference for the promotion of large-scale equipment renewals and trade-ins of consumer goods held on the afternoon of April 10, Li Chunqiu, deputy secretary of the CPC Huaihua Municipal Committee and mayor of Huaihua City, stressed the need to thoroughly implement the important speeches and instructions made by General Secretary Xi Jinping during his visit to Hunan and seize the important opportunity of promoting large-scale equipment renewals and trade-ins of consumer goods to give full play to the maximum effect of relevant policies and provide strong support for the implementation of the Strategy of Five New Missions and Four Orientations. Municipal leaders Yin Peiguo, Zou Xingwang, Han Xiaobo, Hu Heping and Ma Yuan attended the conference.

Mr. Li noted that promoting a new round of large-scale equipment renewal and trade-ins of consumer goods is a major opportunity to stimulate market demand, tap the potential of economic growth, drive industrial upgrades, cultivate new quality productive forces, realize the standard upgrade, boost green development, and bring more high-quality and durable consumer goods into households. Proactive steps should be taken toward promoting equipment upgrades and consumer trade-ins to push ahead high-quality development.

Li also emphasized the need to take proactive measures and map out action plans. He also required that counties and districts should make corresponding plans based on their advantages and needs.

Li pointed out that more efforts should be made to promote the replacement and upgrade of equipment in 10 key sectors, bring more products made in Huaihua on the national and provincial product list, and encourage the adoption of advanced technologies and phase out outdated equipment. Relevant departments should improve municipal infrastructure and urban management, enhance the inspection and renewal of facilities and equipment such as residential elevators to accelerate the construction of a smart city, and build the base for the comprehensive utilization of outdated equipment to improve the development of circular economy.

In conclusion, Li urged that relevant departments should create a good atmosphere to fully mobilize the enthusiasm of enterprises and consumers, and enhance coordination to form synergy to execute preset plans.
