On the morning of September 11th, Li Chunqiu, Deputy Secretary of Huaihua Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Huaihua Municipal Government, conducted research in Xupu County. Li stressed that we should deeply study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important discourse on comprehensively promoting rural revitalization and seriously implement the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 12th Provincial Party Committee, firmly grasp the primary task of high-quality development, and strive to find new ways for high-quality development of the county economy with Xupu’s characteristics based on local reality. The total length of the sightseeing cableway of Huayao Terrace Scenic Area on the back of Xuefeng Mountain reaches 7600 meters, with a total height gap of 1158 meters and a total investment of approximately 380 million yuan. It is expected to be put into trial operation in May 2024 and will be the longest sightseeing cableway in Asia. Li inspected the construction progress of the project along the mountain road and had a detailed understanding of the difficulties encountered during the project progress at the middle station of the cableway. In response to the suggestion of the leader of the construction company on improving the quality of the tourism highway of the scenic spot, Li requested the municipal transportation department to apply to the provincial transportation department for full support. Li added that the Party committee and government of Xupu county should learn from the experience and practices of other places, actively providing good services to vigorously promote the construction of tourist highways in accordance with the laws and regulations. Li Chunqiu encouraged the construction company to strengthen management of the construction site and accelerate progress of construction while ensuring quality and safety, so as to give full play to the functions of tourism and transportation as soon as possible, and ultimately to promote high-quality development of the county economy.
At Yuxu Industrial Park, Li presided over a symposium to discuss and solve the problems in the construction and development of the park with relevant departments of the municipal government. After listening to each attendant’s speech, Li emphasized the need to seriously implement the “1131” work requirements proposed by Governor Mao Weiming at the meeting of Yuhua District of Chansha City’s Corresponding Assistance to Xupu County, and to fully promote the construction and development of Yu-Xu Industrial Park. Li pointed out that effort be paid to further guarantee the supply of electricity, gas, land, capital, and human resources in the park, strengthen park governance, streamline the park system, vigorously promote the construction of innovation platforms and public service platforms so as to lay a solid foundation for the development of the park.
