On the afternoon of June 2, the first meeting of the special working group on the establishment of a national health city was held in Huaihua to make arrangements for the next phase of the work of setting up a national health city. Vice Mayor Xiang Xiuliang attended the meeting.

The leaders in the meeting heard reports from special working groups, Hecheng District and Huaihua International Land Port Economic Development Zone about their contributions to building Huaihua into a national health city this year, and the Municipal Health-creating Office reported the work of such kind, and put forward suggestions. It is pointed out in the meeting that, as building Huaihua into a national health city is a huge systematic project, all the units concerned should strengthen their awareness of the overall situation, support and cooperate with each other, define their responsibilities, and take a coordinated action , so as to form a work pattern of joint management.

It is stressed in the meeting that all the departments at all levels in the city should get into their roles quickly and raise their awareness of the urgency and importance of the work of health-creating city; they should make efforts to find out problems and resolve them, and make a special report on such work once a month; the window units should continue to be focused on and the play should be fully given to the main role of the people; it is necessary to improve the level of advisors’ work, establish problem accounts, quickly study plans, and clarify the way of work. It is necessary to ensure that all-out preparations for application are made, relevant departments should be coordinated with each other, and the responsibilities can be fulfilled fully; and a work scheduling mechanism must be established to ensure that the work of building a national health city can form such a situation in which everything of such work is done well.
