On the afternoon of May 25th, 2023, Mao Weiming, Deputy Secretary of Hunan Provincial Party Committee and Governor, conducted a research at Hunan Xiangtong Industrial Co., Ltd. in Lianshan Industrial Park, Tongtong County.
Hunan Xiangtong Industrial Co., Ltd. signed a contract last year to settle in Lianshan Industrial Park, Huitong Industrial Development Zone, and continued to invest 1.5 billion yuan to build a production line with an annual output of 16 million bags (accessories). After completion, it will become a bag production base with an output value of 10 billion yuan, absorb more than 3,000 labor force, and export products to Southeast Asia, the United States, France, and other places. Mao Weiming said that the effectiveness of Huaihua’s first-class International Land Port is being demonstrated. It needs to continue to amplify the International Land Port effect, accelerate the construction of various platforms, attract more high-quality project resources, and attract more investors to take root.
On the afternoon of May 25th, 2023, Mao Weiming conducted a research at the 10,000 acre Chinese herbal medicine demonstration base in Mayuan, Jingzhou County.
Jingzhou County is the “hometown of Poria cocos in China” and the largest distribution, processing, and export base throughout the country. It is known as “nine varieties of cocos from ten parts of our country, among them seven out of Jingzhou”. Last year, the annual trading volume of Poria cocos in the entire county reached 130,000 tons, accounting for over 70% of the national annual trading volume, and the total industrial chain output value was nearly 5 billion yuan. Mao Weiming and his delegation successively visited the Ma Yuan 10,000 mu Traditional Chinese Medicine Demonstration Base and the Poria Cocos Technology Industrial Park to conduct on-site inspections on Poria cocos cultivation, online trade, and industrial development. He said that small Poria cocos have a promising future. Jingzhou Poria cocos have a favorable brand, platform, and market, with broad industrial prospects. It requires to rely on the advantages of Poria cocos production bases, distribution centers, and product standard formulation areas, improve the entire industrial chain of improved variety breeding, standard planting, deep processing, and large-scale sales, seize the commanding heights of standards, scale, and platforms, continuously polish the “Jingzhou Poria cocos” golden brand, and lead more people to increase income and become rich.
On the afternoon of May 26th, 2023, Mao Weiming conducted a research at Hunan Jiutong Bamboo Based Composite Material Manufacturing Co., Ltd. in Suining County.
Since the establishment of Hunan Jiutong Bamboo Base Company in Suining Xiangshang Industrial Park, the production scale of bamboo composite pressure pipelines has steadily expanded, with an annual processing capacity of 4 million Nanzhu bamboo and enrich 10,000 farmers. Mao Weiming investigated the product to acquire its application. He said that as a green, low-carbon, and biodegradable biomass material, the bamboo is full of treasures. It needs to further strengthen the research on key core technologies, enhance the added value of bamboo products, innovate product application scenarios, continuously enhance the market competitiveness of enterprises, and allow more bamboo farmers to share the dividends of industrial development.
On the morning of May 26th, 2023, Mao Weiming paid a visit to the Memorial Hall for the Transfer of Soldiers in Tongdao County.
Mao Weiming and his delegation also visited the Comrade Su Yu in the Memorial Hall for the Transfer of Soldiers in Tongdao County, deeply in memory of the revolutionary predecessors and inheriting the spirit of the Great Long March. He said that it is a must to learn and promote the political integrity of revolutionary martyrs who are absolutely loyal, their ideals and beliefs as solid as rocks, and their spirit of courage to take responsibility, continue the red bloodline, inherit the red genes, build strong faith and beliefs, gather and forge ahead, and strive to proceed in the long march of the new era.
During the research, Mao Weiming emphasized the need to take a painstaking effort on “local specialties” in rural industries. Based on the natural and cultural advantages of local industries, transportation locations, and natural resources, it requires to explore the diverse values of rural areas according to local conditions, promote the integration of primary, secondary, and tertiary industries, and vigorously improve the new pattern of “one village, one product”, “one town, one industry”, and “one county, one specialty” in the development of modern rural industries. It is a must to transform the advantages of resource, ecology, and culture into the advantages of product and industry. It needs to vigorously implement the action to enhance the agricultural product processing industry, thus promoting the development of large-scale, standardized, industrialized, and branded deep processing of advantageous and characteristic agricultural products. Relying on innovative entities such as scientific research institutes and agricultural leading enterprises to enhance the value-added space of agricultural product processing and transformation with new technologies and processes, it attempts to develop a group of agricultural industrialization consortia to continuously improve the comprehensive efficiency of agricultural production, as well as to build beautiful rural areas, livable and suitable for work. It is urged to improve the rural governance system led by party organizations, strengthen village planning and construction, promote the improvement of rural living environment, promote the sinking of basic public service resources, and shape a new trend of rural civilization.
Mao Weiming and his delegation also conducted a research on the protection and development of Dong Village in Datuan Village, Le’anpu Town, Suining County.
