Huaihua International Land Port Economic Development Zone covers a total area of 33.42 square kilometers. It strives to build an industrial system in which the processing and manufacturing industry plays the principal role and the modern logistics industry and commercial services industry play the supplementary role. At present, the development zone has completed the construction of the first phase of the customs supervision area. It is capable of handling international freight documents, goods inspection, loading, unloading, storage and distribution. By 2025, the development zone will strive to operate more than 1,000 trains, increase the cargo throughput to over 10 million tons, and reach a total output value of over RMB100 billion, so as to serve the nation, integrate into ASEAN, and connect with the world.
