Huaihua High-tech Industrial Development Zone was established in July 2003. It was upgraded to a national high-tech zone in February 2018. It is the only national industrial park in the Wuling Mountain area. The development zone is home to over 1,800 registered enterprises (including 12 listed enterprises and 58 high-tech enterprises), the academician workstation, the post-doctoral scientific research workstation, seven national innovation platforms, and 35 provincial innovation platforms. With convenient transportation and an enabling environment, the development zone has been rated as one of the top 10 industrial parks in Hunan Province for three years straight. The standardized factory buildings cover an area of 400,000 square meters, which are fully equipped.
