(Huaihua Daily Omnimedia) On January 1, the first self-operated direct import train transporting Southeast Asian fruits from Vientiane to Huaihua via the China-Laos Railway arrived at Huaihua International Land Port. The shipment will later be distributed to Beijing and other cities. It marks the formation of the special cold-chain logistics operation mode of the land port and a major upgrade in its cargo collection and distribution capabilities.
Tianhuilong (Hunan) Co., Ltd., a company recently registered and established in Huaihua through investment promotion in the commercial and logistics industrial chain, dispatched a cold-chain train from Vientiane, Laos on December 29, 2024. The train loaded with fresh bananas and other Southeast Asian fruits arrived at Huaihua International Land Port three days later. The train has eight refrigerators, with a total value exceeding RMB1.13 million and a weight of 169.8 tons. The shipment will later be distributed to Beijing and other cities.
It is learned that in the future, fruits such as durian, mangosteen, dragon fruit, and longan from Southeast Asia will be transported to Huaihua via the rail-sea intermodal transport service and cross-border railway service, positioning Huaihua City as a distribution and trading hub. The fruits will then be distributed to Beijing, Hangzhou, Zhengzhou, Xi’an, Changsha, and areas surrounding the Wuling Mountain. This underscores Huaihua International Land Port’s enhanced cold-chain logistics capacity and service quality as well as Huaihua’s growing competitiveness as a distribution hub for Southeast Asian fruits.
