(Huaihua Daily Omnimedia) On the morning of April 25, the reporter learned from the 2025 Work Training Meeting on Alumni Return and Investment and Talent Attraction of Huaihua City that since the launch of the “Alumni Return” initiative, the municipal task force has insisted on attracting both investment and talent and achieved impressive results. As of the end of March, the city recorded alumni investment projects of RMB13,691 million, introduced 116 high-caliber alumni, and received RMB88,818,500 of alumni donations. It ranked third, second and second respectively in Hunan Province in the above-mentioned core indicators, continuing to lead the province.

Huaihua University, Chenxi, Mayang, Hecheng District, Yuanling No. 1 Middle School, and Xupu No. 1 Middle School shared typical cases at the meeting. Lan Lunlun, an alumnus from Huaihua University, returned to his hometown to start a business after graduation. He took the lead in planting peppers on land of over 1,000 mu (66.67 hectares) and increased the income of villagers. His stories were reported by many mainstream media outlets such as CCTV, Hunan Television, and Hunan Daily. Wang Peng, an outstanding alumnus of Chenxi No. 1 Middle School, donated RMB20 million to the education fund of the school for building the school library. Yuanling No. 1 Middle School systematically reviewed the information of 44 classes of alumni and recompiled the Alumni Directory, to accurately create the alumni portrait and promote the high-quality development of Yuanling’s basic education.
