The 11th Global Forum for Hunan Entrepreneurs achieved fruitful results
108 major provincial investment promotion projects were signed, with a total investment of RMB81.74 billion; 191 municipal projects were signed, with a total investment of RMB74.32 billion. Specifically, Huaihua signed 19 provincial projects and 102 municipal projects, with a total investment of RMB15.95 billion and RMB34.57 billion, respectively.
On the afternoon of September 13, the results release conference of the 11th Global Forum for Hunan Entrepreneurs was held. Liu Shiqing, Deputy Head of the United Front Work Department of CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and Secretary of the Leading Party Members’ Group of Hunan Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce, released the primary results of the forum. During this forum, 108 major provincial investment promotion projects were signed, with a total investment of RMB81.74 billion; 191 municipal projects were signed, with a total investment of RMB74.32 billion. Among them, Huaihua signed 19 provincial projects and 102 municipal projects, with a total investment of RMB15.95 billion and RMB34.57 billion, respectively.
The conference was chaired by Yao Weihong, a level II bureau rank official of the Publicity Department of CPC Hunan Provincial Committee. Liu Shiding, a level II bureau rank official of Hunan Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce and Han Xiaobo, Deputy Mayor of People’s Government of Huaihua City, attended the conference.
The 11th Global Forum for Hunan Entrepreneurs presented a vibrant Hunan Province, fully displaying its new look, potential and charm. From the theme of the forum “New Leadership, New Hub and New Chapter” to the “first green electricity certification”, from the development of Huaihua International Land Port to the building of Changsha into a global R&D hub, from the establishment of Hunan Entrepreneurs Association in Hunan to the plaque awarding of Hunan entrepreneurs headquarters base... These endeavors fully reflect Hunan’s determination to develop the three hubs and pioneering spirit in promoting the rise of central China and the development of the Yangtze Economic Belt. The forum specially introduced the Golden Furong Investment Fund. With focus on industrial guidance, technological innovation, infrastructure and social programs, the fund will leverage social capital to invest in real economy, thereby empowering and supporting those investing in Hunan. The leaders and guests attending the forum believed that Hunan Province is becoming a more and more ideal place for business startups and win-win cooperation.
Tens of thousands of entrepreneurs came to Hunan for this grand event. Overseas Chinese merchants, entrepreneurs, well-known central and state-owned enterprises and Hunan entrepreneurs from around the world gathered there. With an optimistic view about Hunan’s future, they are willing to invest in and contribute to Hunan and seek mutual development with Hunan through this global forum. The projects signed at this forum focus on introducing large-scale and competitive enterprises, industrial cooperation and return of Hunan entrepreneurs. The parallel events focus on characteristic industries, advantageous industries, emerging industries and future industries. The attendees were very proactive, and the atmosphere was lively. The opening ceremony of the forum was held via both online and offline channels, with 1,000 guests present at the main venue and 200,000 Hunan entrepreneurs from all over the world attending online. More than 100 venues were simultaneously set up for live streaming, including the Hunan Chamber of Commerce in Thailand and Hunan Chamber of Commerce in Hainan.
The attendees had friendly exchanges during the forum. United by hometown bond, family affection and friendship, the Hunan entrepreneurs, overseas Chinese merchants and entrepreneurs saw the growth potential of their hometown and business opportunities for win-win development with Hunan. During the forum, the “New Hunan Contribution Award” was presented; plaques were awarded to exemplary projects themed on “welcoming fellow townsmen to return to hometown and make it a better place”; Hunan Entrepreneurs Association in Hunan and Hunan entrepreneurs headquarters base were established; and the newly launched Golden Furong Investment Fund was promoted. All the events gave play to the leading role of entrepreneurs, enhancing their sense of identity, gain and honor and encouraging them to bring more enterprises, capital, projects and talents to their hometown and build enterprise headquarters there.
