On the afternoon of May 15, Wei Zhaohui, secretary of the CPC Huaihua Municipal Committee, visited the Hunan Provincial Department of Education and held a working meeting with Gao Shan, secretary of the Party Leadership Group and director of the Hunan Provincial Department of Education. They conducted in-depth discussions on implementing the plans and requirements of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and the People’s Government of Hunan Province, and on accelerating the high-quality development of education in Huaihua. Sun Chuangui, member of the Party Leadership Group and deputy director of the Hunan Provincial Department of Education, as well as Huaihua municipal leaders Li Weilin and Xiang Rulian, attended the meeting.

Wei Zhaohui, on behalf of the CPC Huaihua Municipal Committee and the Huaihua Municipal People’s Government, expressed gratitude to Hunan Provincial Department of Education for its long-term care and support for Huaihua’s education. She noted that Huaihua has made efforts to develop education satisfying people by implementing General Secretary Xi Jinping’s educational philosophy, fulfilling the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education, and accelerating the high-quality development of basic education, the leap-forward advancement of higher education, and the integrated development of vocational education. She expressed the hope that the Hunan Provincial Department of Education will provide greater support to Huaihua in educational planning and layout, basic education development, the integration and optimization of institutions of higher learning, and discipline building, so as to assist Huaihua in building a regional education center at the border of five provinces.

Gao Shan stated that Hunan Provincial Department of Education will fully implement the Party’s education policy, earnestly follow the plans and requirements by the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and the People’s Government of Hunan Province, and increase support for the development of universities in Huaihua, paired-up educational assistance, vocational education development, development of teaching staff, and others as such, so as to jointly promote the high-quality development of education in Huaihua.
