On the evening of November 18, the literary and artistic publicity on national unity and progress, jointly sponsored by Association for the Solidarity and Progress of the Chinese Nation and Huaihua Municipal People’s Government, was held at the Huaihua Sports Center. Tan Zhongchi, former vice chairman of the Provincial Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and former chairman of the Provincial Federation of Literature and Art, Dao Bo, vice president-cum- secretary-general of the Association for the Solidarity and Progress of Chinese Nation, Xu Zhongjian, secretary of the Municipal CPCCommittee, Li Chunqiu, deputy secretary of the Municipal CPCCommittee and mayor, Xiao Liping, second-class inspector of the Provincial National Religious Affairs committee, Leng Xiangyang, vice president of the the Association for the Solidarity and Progress of Chinese Nation and director of the Fund Management Committee, Yang Shengyong, adviser to Association for the Solidarity and Progress of Chinese Nation, andsome municipal leaders like Yao Shuming, Shu Ke, Li Weilin and Zhang Yuansong participated in the activity together with cadres of all ethnic groups and representatives of the people in the city.
The theme of the publicity is “Pomegranate bloom beautifies China;National solidarity moves towards a new journey”. Accompanied by gorgeous fireworks, the enjoyable dance performance “56 Nationalities are like 56 Flowers” kicked off, followed by three wonderful chapters of “Chinese Family”,“Drawing Concentric Circles” and “Endeavour for a New Journey” in turn. Zhang Jiachun, Zhang Ye, Liu Yuxin, Li Xian, Zhang Jie and other publicity ambassadors for the solidarity and progress of the Chinese nation, as well as famous singers like A duo, Lu Jihong, Red-leaf Group, Wang Yan, Li Kaili, Li Suo, Aixinjueluo Qidi, Die Chang, Liuyangzhenli, Yu Liucheng, Chen Sisi and so on successively performed on the stage. With beautiful songs, they praised the solidarity and struggle as well as common prosperity and developmentof all ethnic groups, expressed the community concept of sharing the same future among the people of all ethnic groups, and sang the strong voice of strengthening the communitysense of the Chinese nation.
The performance ended up with the song of “Young China”.
