On July 25, the Hecheng District launched the 7th 100-Day Recruitment Drive (Better Life Special Session) at the Zhonghuan Plaza.
Under the guidance of the Huaihua Municipal Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security, the Hecheng District Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security joined hands with the Huaihua Employment Service Center, the Zhongfang County Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security and Chengzhong Sub-district of Hecheng District, organizing a job fair at the shopping district to build a platform for precise matching between enterprises and job seekers.
A total of 106 participating enterprises set up booths in neat rows at 9 a.m. Ranging from Better Life Supermarket and branded catering outlets to fashion retail and children’s entertainment businesses, more than 4,000 vacancies covered diverse sectors including fresh food processing, operation management, marketing planning and logistics support. Statistics show that over 3,000 job seekers visited the scene. More than 1,200 candidates reached preliminary employment agreements on site. Meanwhile, the live-stream recruitment attracted 65,000 online viewers.
“I heard the Better Life Supermarket was hiring, so I traveled all the way from Zhongfang County. I never expected to land a job!” said Mr. Yang from Zhongfang County, barely hiding his excitement. He successfully secured a cooked food processing position at Better Life Supermarket and will head to Changsha soon for professional training before taking up his post. The recruitment fair stands as a vivid embodiment of the Hecheng-Zhongfang integrated development strategy: tearing down regional barriers to enable job seekers from Hecheng District and Zhongfang County to access equal employment opportunities, facilitating cross-regional talent recruitment for enterprises, and delivering integrated employment services across the two areas.
Beyond recruitment, the venue also functioned as a policy service hub. Government bodies including the Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security, Federation of Trade Unions, Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and District Government Service Center set up service stalls to offer consultations on employment and entrepreneurship guidance, vocational skills training, labor rights protection, social security policies, personnel file management for migrant populations, and accident insurance for casual workers. Many job seekers commented: “There are abundant vacancies, plus we can learn about policies and legal issues. It’s well worth coming!”
It was learned that the two-day recruitment fair was tailor-made to recruit staff for various brand stores operating within Better Life Mall.
