In the afternoon of July 3, the Huaihua Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government hosted an economic and trade matchmaking conference with the Australia-China Business and Trade Development Association to conduct in-depth exchanges on deepening bilateral economic and trade cooperation. Wei Zhaohui, Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, and Ni Jianliang, President of the Australia-China Business and Trade Development Association and Chairman of Australia Hongtu Industrial Co., Ltd., attended the event and delivered speeches.

On behalf of the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, Wei extended a warm welcome to the delegation from the Australia-China Business and Trade Development Association. She noted that the Association has long been committed to advancing China-Australia economic and trade cooperation and cultural exchanges, serving as a vital bridge and bond for win-win cooperation between enterprises of the two countries and boosting trade and investment under the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP).

Huaihua boasts profound historical heritage, abundant mineral resources, superior transportation and geographical advantages, and distinctive industrial features. As a key node city on the eastern route of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor, the city is accelerating the development of a first-class International Land Port specializing in cold chain logistics. Wei expressed hope that the Association would continue to leverage its bridging role, identify cooperation entry points in sectors including Chinese medicinal herb processing, agricultural and marine product trade, cultural tourism and health care, and education, and continuously expand cooperation space to deliver mutual benefits and win-win results. Huaihua sincerely invites the Association to organize a delegation to attend next year’s RCEP Economic and Trade Expo, and will offer the utmost sincerity and optimal services to foster a sound development environment for all partners investing and operating in Huaihua.

Ni expressed sincere gratitude for Huaihua’s thoughtful reception and congratulated the city on its remarkable achievements in economic and social development. He stated that Huaihua boasts unrivaled open access corridors and rich industrial resources, promising broad prospects for bilateral cooperation. Relying on the cross-border e-commerce industrial park of Huaihua International Land Port, both sides will jointly build two-way cross-border trade channels, actively introduce high-quality agricultural products and mineral resources from Australia, and support Huaihua’s signature products such as Chinese medicinal herbs and new energy equipment to tap into overseas markets. The two parties will co-develop two-way cultural tourism exchange routes and exclusive tourist lines, establish a regular economic and trade liaison mechanism, organize mutual visits and investment promotion events on a periodic basis, and steadily deepen economic and trade ties.

Twelve entrepreneurs attended the forum, including Chen Xingfu, Chairman of Uzbekistan Huaxing Investment and Development Group; Yu Xiwei, Vice President of the Australia-China Business and Trade Development Association; Wu Kunlin, Deputy Secretary-General of the Association; Wu Cijie, Chairman of Uzbekistan Xinyuan Mining Co., Ltd.; Dai Bing, Chairman of Kunming Yurao New Energy Technology Development Co., Ltd.; and Zeng Huiyang, International Partner of Zhongnan Green Construction Technology Group under Zhejiang Zhongnan Construction Group.
