On July 22, it was learned from the Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology that from January to June, the added value of Huaihua City's industrial enterprises above the designated size increased by 5.3% year-on-year, 2.7 percentage points higher than the provincial average, ranking 6th in the province. The overall industrial economy operated smoothly.
The industrial structure continued to optimize. The three major sectors developed in a coordinated manner. The added value of the manufacturing sector increased by 2.2% year-on-year, accounting for 79.3% of the added value of industrial enterprises above the designated size, maintaining a solid core supporting role; the mining industry grew by 14.3%, showing a good growth trend; and the production and supply of electricity, heat, gas and water grew by 19%, maintaining rapid growth.
Some industries showed a good trend. From January to June, the non-ferrous metal smelting and rolling processing industry took the lead in total added value, accounting for 22.3% of the city's total industrial output of enterprises above the designated size, contributing 37.3% to the growth of industrial added value, and driving the growth of industrial added value by 2.0 percentage points. The coal mining and washing industry saw a growth rate as high as 140.9%, ranking among the top industries and demonstrating a significant driving effect. The general equipment manufacturing industry grew by 108.5%, showing strong growth momentum. The cultural, educational, arts and crafts, sports and entertainment products manufacturing industry saw a cumulative growth rate of 34.3%. The leather, fur, feather and related products and footwear industry grew by 24.1% year-on-year, benefiting from the strong performance of the city's luggage and bags industry and the prominent role of exports.
Key enterprises provided strong support. From January to June, the city's 60 key industrial enterprises grew by 27.87% year-on-year, 16.77 percentage points higher than the city's total industrial output growth rate, becoming the core force for stabilizing growth. Due to favorable water conditions in the first half of the year, the electric power generation of some key hydropower enterprises increased significantly, resulting in rapid output growth.
A relevant official from the Huaihua Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology stated that the next step will be to strengthen precise scheduling, focusing on key regions, key industries, key enterprises, and key projects, with particular attention to enterprises experiencing negative growth or zero output value. The "one enterprise, one policy" approach, regular supervision, and precise analysis will be implemented to resolutely achieve the annual target of 7% growth in the added value of industrial enterprises above the designated size.
Strengthening enterprise cultivation. Aiming at the annual target for newly added industrial enterprises above the designated size, efforts will be intensified to identify, guide, and cultivate potential enterprises, promoting more enterprises to upgrade to the designated size and be included in the statistical system. At the same time, follow-up services for enterprises already included in the designated size will be strengthened to effectively prevent enterprises from "dropping out" of the designated size.
Strengthening capacity expansion and upgrading. Policy dividends should be fully released, helping enterprises secure projects with large investment scales and urgent need for financial support, ensuring stable growth in industrial investment and accelerating the formation of new economic growth points. The "Artificial Intelligence+" and "Smart Empowerment of Thousands of Enterprises" initiatives will be further promoted to revitalize traditional industries and improve the quality and efficiency of enterprises.
Strengthening assistance to enterprises in overcoming difficulties. To implement the "Enterprise Service Year" action plan, we will regularly carry out special actions such as "providing solutions and services" and "benefiting enterprises together”, and deeply integrate the "one county, one policy, one special team" approach to enhance the support for the industrial economy. We will intensify efforts to clear overdue payments to enterprises and earnestly ensure workplace safety in the industrial sector, guaranteeing that no major or above-level workplace accidents occur throughout the year.
