With the Spring Festive atmosphere being strong, it is the right time to seek a job. To take advantage of the rush of returning hometowns in Spring Festival, a warm,  distinctive and sincere campaign for recruiting talents is in full swing in Huaihua. From February 11th to 14th, the “Work Home and Dream at the Land Port” Job Fair for International Land Port Talents and the Promotion Campaign for “Employment+” in Spring Festival was held splendidly at Yushuwan Square and Dongmengji Square successively.

It is reported that the campaign was hosted by the Management Committee of Huaihua International Land Port Economic Development Zone, guided by the Huaihua Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, and co-organized by the Huaihua Municipal Bureau of Culture, Tourism, Radio, Television and Sports. The campaign has innovatively created a new integrated model of “Employment +”. Guided by the all-scenario employment service philosophy of “Job + Life + Development”, it has moved job fairs to urban landmark sites. The initiative integrates job promotion, policy services, interactions in Spring Festival, and public welfare services, extending a sincere invitation to those working away from home to return for local employment, and building an efficient, convenient and caring bridge between enterprises and job seekers.

New experience in the scenario: Employment + cultural tourism check-in, job hunting can also become “fashionable”

The venue for the campaign featured four functional zones: a policy consultation zone, an enterprise recruitment zone, an “Employment+” integrated check-in zone, and a Spring Festival welfare interactive zone, catering to the diverse needs of job seekers for consultation, registration, job hunting, experience, and interaction.

The campaign prominently featured two special talent programs: The “Land Port Direct Express” primarily targets returning migrant workers, skilled personnel, and other job seekers, accurately matching them with quality positions in the zone to achieve direct job placement and rapid onboarding. “Land Port Trainee Program”  by the Huaihua International Land Port is specifically designed for graduates and young talents, offering tailored development paths with a focus on growth-oriented positions in areas such as technology research and development, enterprise management, and foreign trade business, supporting young talents in their career growth at the Land Port. The two programs collectively offered high-quality jobs in sectors including luggage and leather goods, eco-food and traditional Chinese medicine, electronic information and processing and manufacturing, modern commercial logistics, and cross-border e-commerce, meeting the employment needs of different groups. To  achieve the synchronized advancement of employment and housing security, we are launching a special home purchase discount program for new employees. Participants in this Spring Festival recruitment campaign may enjoy an additional exclusive discount of CNY 3,000 to CNY8,000 per apartment upon presentation of relevant documentation.

“I never imagined the industries in my hometown could be this thriving! My major could be taken full use of here. With great platforms, favorable policies, and bright prospects, I will definitely offer to return to Huaihua and stay at the Land Port after graduation, contributing my expertise to the development in my hometown!” exclaimed Tang Junhua, a postgraduate majoring in chemistry at Anhui Normal University, after consulting at the biomedical and eco-food job section.

Meanwhile, various public services, including Chinese New Year’s goods welfare and haircuts without charge were offered in the venue, allowing the public to enjoy the warmth in their hometown while consulting about policies and seeking jobs. To bolster the appeal and reach, we set up five themed check-in spots: “Land Craftsmanship: Skills Take Root”, “Port as Home: Settle Down and Build a Career”, “Direct Health Guard: Wellness Protection”, “Connecting the World: Luggage Manufacturing”, and “Vehicles to the Land Port: Spring Festival Fortune”. These spots integrated employment promotion elements into cultural tourism check-in scenarios, attracting citizens to stop for photos, and proactively share on social media, achieving an “immersive job hunting and experiential promotion” effect.

According to on-site statistics, the campaign attracted over 1,000 citizens and returnees to participate, and encouraged more than 300 people to share the event information.

Communication upgraded: integrated online and offline promotion creates huge turnout and high involvement

To further expand the coverage and influence of the campaign, we have established a publicity framework featuring online-offline interaction and full coverage. An innovative model of new media matrix plus self-media collaboration has been adopted to spread the good employment in the Land Port to every household. The numerous local social media influencers and online celebrities were invited in the campaign specially to the venue. Through live streaming, short videos, graphic posts and other forms, they conducted real-time on-site coverage and interpretation, comprehensively showcasing the highlights of the campaign, the advantages of the job positions and the thoughtful services, attracting a large number of netizens to watch online and interact with comments.

Through the “Land Port Direct Express” Spring Festival recruitment column online, job information from enterprises in the park is updated in real time, enabling one-stop online processing for job searches, consultations, and resume submissions. Additionally, a series of short videos have been carefully produced, showcasing the production environment, employee dormitories and canteens, salary and benefits, and interviews with veteran staff. These videos are widely promoted on platforms such as Douyin and WeChat Video. Leveraging the amplifying effect of social media, the  online exposure in the campaign exceeded 200,000 views. Coupled with the publicity effect of self-media, the total online exposure of campaign-related content exceeded 200,000 views.

In tandem with online efforts, a series of offline recruitment activities under the “Land Port Direct Express” initiative have been rolled out in counties and districts, bringing jobs directly to people at county and township levels. The Huaihua International Land Port Human Resources Service Hub (Industrial Park) and the Huaihua Human Resources Service Industry Association have jointly developed a new model for human resources services to support local industrial development, featuring government guidance, platform coordination, association facilitation, institutional collaboration, and enterprise benefits, whereby resources are effectively channeled to where they are needed most.

This Spring Festival job fair and integrated “Employment + ” promotional campaign represents a key initiative by the Huaihua International Land Port Economic Development Zone to improve the business environment, bolster enterprise development, and ensure stable employment. It also marks an innovative practice in promoting the integration of culture and tourism, empowering industries, and attracting talent. By offering scenario-based promotion, targeted matchmaking, one-stop services, and full-cycle support, the campaign effectively alleviated the post-holiday employment needs of enterprises in the park while providing returning migrant workers, graduates, and skilled professionals with a quality platform to work and settle down in their hometowns.

Moving forward, the Huaihua International Land Port Economic Development Zone will take this campaign as an opportunity to maintain a sharp focus on meeting the staffing needs of enterprises and the employment demands of the public. Various activities related to recruitment, promotion and services will be staged regularly, employment service models will be continuously innovated and the channels for attracting talents and recruitment will be broadened. The goal is to ensure that talent cultivation and industrial development advance in tandem, providing robust human resources and talent support for the accelerated development of a modern international land port city.
