The 10th Plenary Session of the 6th Huaihua Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China has scientifically formulated the grand blueprint for Huaihua’s development during the “15th Five-Year Plan” period. Like a rallying drumbeat, the spirit of the plenary session has quickly spread across the Wuxi land (the historical name of Huaihua area) and aroused strong resonance among the majority of Party members and cadres in the city.
The plenary session proposed to strive to build Huaihua into a regional central city at the junction of five provinces (Hunan, Hubei, Chongqing, Guizhou, and Guangxi), accelerate the construction of a city of opening-up and vitality, a city of innovation and entrepreneurship, a city of ecological culture and tourism, and a livable and smart city. “Taking the opportunity of the 5th Hunan Tourism Development Conference, we will seize the momentum to do a good job in the ‘follow-up work’ and promote the high-quality development of cultural and tourism undertakings in the city to a new level,” said Jin Jianping, secretary of the Party Leadership Group and director of the Municipal Bureau of Culture, Tourism, Radio, Television and Sports. “The plenary session proposed to promote the harmonious coexistence of man and nature and comprehensively build a beautiful Huaihua,” said Zhang Yajun, secretary of the Party Leadership Group and director of the Mayang Water Conservancy Bureau.
