    Xu presides over a special meeting on advancing the outcomes of the Tourism Development Conference

    On the morning of November 26, Xu Zhongjian, secretary of the Huaihua Municipal Party Committee, presided over a special coordination meeting on advancing follow-up actions after the Tourism Development Conference. He emphasized the need to thoroughly study and implement the guiding principles of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and General Secretary Xi Jinping's important discourses on tourism development, earnestly implement the arrangements and requirements of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Government, deliver solid follow-up work after the conference, and unswervingly promote the high-quality development of the cultural and tourism industry. Wei Chaohui, deputy secretary of the Huaihua Municipal Party Committee and Acting Mayor, was also present at the meeting.

    At the meeting, reports on the work progress were heard from relevant municipal-level departments, counties, districts and county-level cities, and key tasks for advancing the follow-up work were discussed and arranged.

    Xu emphasized the need to further unify ideological understanding, seize the momentum, and make persistent efforts so as to effectively advance the follow-up work of the Tourism Development Conference. We should accelerate the high-quality development of the cultural and tourism industry across the city, enabling it to truly become a strategic pillar industry, a people's livelihood industry, and a happiness industry.

    It is imperative to further highlight key tasks, focus efforts precisely, and maintain sustained momentum. We will meticulously plan and organize publicity and promotion activities, continuously enhance the influence of the core brand "Fudi Huaihua" (Blessed Land Huaihua), and attract more tourists to Huaihua in a more effective manner. We will adhere to breakthroughs in key regions, strive to upgrade the "Three Rivers and One Bay" area, unremittingly promote the application of Hongjiang Ancient Commercial City for 5A-level scenic spot certification, accelerate the development of Xuefeng Mountain mountain tourism, and solidly advance the construction of key cultural and tourism projects such as Xiaoping 1938 Ordnance Camp, so as to drive the development of all-for-one tourism. We will comprehensively improve tourism quality and strive to create distinctive new products, new formats, new scenarios, and new experiences.

    We must stay committed to the combination of an effective market and a capable government. While giving better play to the government's role in guidance, promotion, supervision, and service, we will fully leverage the role of the market mechanism, strive to introduce powerful strategic investors and influential market operators, and ensure sustainable development.

    We should further strengthen organizational leadership. The main responsible comrades of Party committees and governments at municipal and county levels should take the lead in promoting the work; leading comrades in charge should oversee and supervise the specific implementation; all relevant departments should take the initiative to fulfill their responsibilities, so as to pool strong synergy for the work.

    Wei pointed out that efforts should be made to enhance the market "operation capacity" in order to ensure cultural and tourism projects achieve sustained profitability, radiate vitality, and realize sustainable development as well. We need to link high-quality tourism resources into an exquisite "pearl chain," forming a rich and targeted tourism route product system to meet the needs of different customer groups. We should play a good "combination game" of business formats, with a focus on advancing the development of the "culture and tourism +" model. It is essential to improve the city's "recognition," and strengthen the influence and appeal of the tourism brand. We must optimize the "golden reputation" of services, regularly implement tourism-friendly and visitor-centric measures, and convert tourism "traffic flow" into economic "growth momentum."
