On the afternoon of October 15, Wei Zhaohui, deputy secretary of the Huaihua Municipal Party Committee and Secretary of the Leading Party Members' Group of the Huaihua Municipal Government, visited and inspected the Huaihua Survey Office of the National Bureau of Statistics. He stressed the need to thoroughly study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important expositions on statistical work. This means that we should focus on the national investigation tasks and the overall development situation of Huaihua, give full play to the functions of the government, and provide high-quality investigation and statistical services for high-quality development. Yin Peiguo, a leader of the municipal government, attended the event.
Wei met and showed her care about the staff from the Household Survey Section and the Special Survey Section. Afterwards, she learned in detail about the urban and rural household income and expenditure, the sample rotation, and other relevant issues as well. She then presided over a research symposium.
After listening to the work reports, she showed her approval of their work on the economic performance monitoring as well as the data analysis and interpretation. She emphasized the necessity to scientifically carry out data statistics and promote both quantitative growth and quality improvement,thus ensuring comprehensive, accurate, and complete data collection and achieving full coverage in statistical reporting.
She stressed the importance of improving proactive data services. In this sense, we should consolidate data monitoring and analysis in such areas as the planning for the 15th Five-Year Plan, major national and provincial policy trends, the development of the Huaihua International Land Port, the development of the "5+10" modern industrial system, and the realization of ecological product value. The goal is to provide valuable, and constructive suggestions targeted at the municipal party committee, municipal government, and relevant functional departments, thereby supporting more efficient and practical government work through high-quality data services.
She also called for the careful implementation of sample rotation.This can help advance the sample rotation work for household surveys, price surveys, and labor force surveys, and improve the quality of foundational work and data.
Furthermore, she urged to resolutely prevent statistical fraud, firmly establish a correct view of political performance and treat the authenticity and accuracy of statistical data as the most important achievement in a bid to investigate and address various statistical violations and disciplinary breaches, and strive to build a healthy statistical ecosystem.
