On September 3, Tian'anmen Square served as a venue for the grand occasion devoted to the 80th Anniversary of the Victory for the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. People from all walks of life in Huaihua City listened to and watched the live broadcast through various means.

Municipal leaders as well as other comrades from directly-affiliated units of the municipal government watched the live broadcast. Chief among them included Xu Zhongjian, secretary of the Huaihua Municipal Party Committee, He Zunqing, deputy secretary of the Huaihua Municipal Party Committee and secretary of the Huaihua Municipal Political and Legal Committee, and Li Wanqian, director of the Standing Committee of the Huaihua Municipal People's Congress.

People throughout the city viewed the live broadcast via various means in order to experience the grand occasion. Some of them, in particular, were cadres and employees with the Huaihua Municipal Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the Huaihua Municipal People's Congress, the municipal government, the Huaihua Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and the Huaihua Military Sub-area as well.
