On July 16, the 2025 National Original Line Dance Competition kicked off at Huaihua Sports Center. 63 teams from 17 provinces and municipalities, 31 prefecture-level cities and prefectures including Beijing, Shandong, Chongqing, Jiangsu, Guangdong, Anhui, Hunan, and Hainan gathered together to make friends through dance and compete on the same stage.
The opening ceremony offered a brilliant show of ethnic folk songs and medleys. The teams cleverly integrated the dance elements of the Miao, Dong, Tujia and other ethnic groups with modern line dance, winning cheers from the audience.
This competition was hosted by the Gymnastics Management Center of the State General Administration of Sports, supported by the Hunan Provincial Sports Bureau and the Hunan Provincial Ethnic and Religious Affairs Committee, and organized by the Huaihua Municipal Culture, Tourism, Radio, Film and Television and Sports Bureau. At the same time, it fully demonstrated the charm of Huaihua's cultural tourism and created a shining new business card for Huaihua's integrated development of culture, tourism and sports.
