On the afternoon of July 11th, 2025, Xu Zhongjian, secretary of Huaihua Municipal Party Committee, held a work meeting at Changsha Customs, centering on deepening the implementation of general secretary Xi Jinping’s speech and instructions during his inspection of Hunan, focusing on building a highland for reform and opening up in inland areas, comprehensively enhancing the opening level of Huaihua International Land Port, and carrying out key work and project docking.

During the meeting with Gu Jiong, secretary of the Party Committee and Director of Changsha Customs, Xu Zhongjian, on behalf of Huaihua Municipal Party Committee and Government, thanked Changsha Customs for its strong support for the opening and development of Huaihua, especially the construction of Huaihua International Land Port. Currently, Huaihua is deeply studying and implementing the important speech and instructions of Xi Jinping on Hunan work, firmly anchoring the beautiful blueprint of “three highlands and four new missions”, deeply implementing the “five orientations and four new missions” strategy, mobilizing the whole city’s efforts to accelerate the construction of a first-class international land port with cold chain logistics as its characteristic, promoting the integrated development of port industry, city and tourism, expanding domestic and foreign opening up, and striving to build a central city in the border areas of five provinces, Xu said. It is hoped that Changsha Customs will continue to support the construction of Huaihua International Land Port and provide more support in improving the functions of the open platform. People will do their utmost to provide service guarantees for the work of Huaihua Customs.

Gu Jiong thanks Huaihua for its strong support to Changsha Customs and Huaihua Customs. Changsha Customs will resolutely implement the important speech and instructions of Xi’s inspection of Hunan, fully implement the decision-making and deployment of the Party Central Committee and the State Council, as well as the deployment requirements of the Hunan Provincial Party Committee and Government, fully support the construction of Huaihua International Land Port, continuously improve the level of the opening-up platform, and assist Huaihua in high-level opening-up and high-quality development.
