Since the beginning of this year, multiple cities in Hunan Province have been selected for national projects, including the urban renewal initiative, pilot cities of modern commercial circulation system, demonstration projects for the development of the oil-tea camellia industry, clusters of agricultural advantageous and characteristic industries, pilot experiments for comprehensive rural reform, pilot for the “Beautiful Countryside” initiative, modern agricultural industrial parks, strong agricultural towns, demonstration areas for the development of inclusive finance, demonstration areas for capacity enhancement of public employment service, and Central Government’s special lottery ticket public welfare fund targeting the improvement of home- and community-based elderly care services. Huaihua City was awarded the 2025 Central Government’s financial award and subsidy for the demonstration project for the development of the oil-tea camellia industry, and Yanqiao Town in Zhijiang Dong Autonomous County of Huaihua was listed as one of the 2025 National Strong Agricultural Towns.
