With the approaching of the 40th Teachers’ Day, we, Huaihua Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China’s  and Huaihua Municipal People’s Government, would like to extend our warm congratulations and high respect to all of you for your long-term dedication to education and your loyalty to your duties, and for your contributions to the education cause of the Party and the people and to the economic and social development of Huaihua city.

Education is a fundamental task for the country and the Party. “The Central Committee of the Communist Party of China’s Decision on Further Comprehensively Deepening Reform and Promoting Chinese Path to Modernization” adopted at the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China clearly proposes to accelerate the construction of a high-quality education system, and comprehensively promote the reform of education methods, school running models, education management systems and education guaranteeing mechanisms; therefore, Huaihua Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government make every effort to provide satisfactory education for the people of the city and to give every child a good opportunity to accept education through thoroughly studying and implementing the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the spirit of president Xi Jinping’s important discourse on education, adhering to the priority development of education, deepening comprehensive education reform, implementing a series of reform measures such as expanding and improving the quality of basic education, running schools in groups, and conducting fair and just students enrollment.

Teachers are the foundation and source of education. Meeting good teachers is a stroke of luck in one's life, having good teachers in a school is an honor for the school, and the continuous emergence of batches of good teachers in a nation is the hope of the nation. Huaihua Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government will continue to care about teachers with enthusiasm, so as to make teachers dedicated to the teaching cause with willingness, enthusiasm and happiness, and make them have a sense of achievement in their careers and a sense of honor in society, and thus making teaching an enviable profession. We hope that all teachers and educators in the city will bear in mind General Secretary Xi Jinping's earnest instructions, fully implement the Party's education policy, conscientiously carry out the fundamental task of cultivating morality and talents, vigorously promote the spirit of educators, and shoulder the historical responsibility of cultivating new talents of the times with professional abilities, profound knowledge, and deep love.

Respecting teachers and valuing education is a fine tradition of the Chinese nation, so we will further promote the implementation of the Ten Measures for Respecting Teachers and Valuing Education by investing more funds to education, continuously improving teachers’ payment, effectively caring for their physical and mental health, safeguarding their legitimate rights and interests, maintaining their disciplinary power in education, supporting their active management of education, so as to make the whole society to care for and support education, respect and love teachers. In addition, we will make every effort to improve teachers’ political, social, and professional status, so that they can enjoy the social reputation they deserve and can make new and greater contributions to the cause of the Party and the people.
