On the morning of June 16, during the inspection of rainwater and sewage diversion projects in apartment complexes without property management services, Li Chunqiu, deputy secretary of the CPC Huaihua Municipal Committee and mayor of Huaihua City, stressed the need to thoroughly study and implement the spirit of Secretary General Xi Jinping’s important speeches and instructions made during his inspection tours in Hunan and to implement the spirit of the instructions made by Shen Xiaoming, secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, on the rectification of typical cases exposed during the Central Ecological and Environmental Protection Inspection. He pointed out that relevant department should roll out specific policy for each district and take the residential areas adjacent to rivers and creeks as priorities, and develop plans to scientifically implement rainwater and sewage diversion projects and renovation projects in apartment complexes. Municipal leaders Hu Heping and Ma Yuan accompanied Li on the inspection tour.

During the inspection at the rainwater and sewage diversion renovation projects at the former residential area in Zhongfang government compound and of Huaihua No.1 Middle School, Li Chunqiu noted that specific plans should be developed and implemented in line with conditions of varied apartment complexes without property management services. The Housing and Urban-Rural Development Department should enhance technical guidance and supervise project implementation. The municipal government should strengthen supervision and report progress every 10 days.

When inspecting the rain and sewage diversion systems in the residential areas by the Wushui River, Li Chunqiu asked the Housing and Urban-Rural Development Department to treat cracks in residential buildings. Differentiated measures should be taken according to the width of the crack, crack spacing and severity so as to treat cracks in buildings promptly and effectively. The treatment plans and results should be communicated to residents in a timely manner.
