Recently, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the Central Propaganda Department and the Ministry of Justice issued the Notice on Publishing the List of the Third Batch of National Rural Governance Demonstration Villages and Towns and the Review Results of the First Two Batches of National Rural Governance Demonstration Villages and Towns. Among them, Xiaping Village in Anjiang Town of Hongjiang City is on the list.

Xiaping Village has jurisdiction over 20 groups of villagers which consist of 4,560 people from 1,215 households, and the immigrants in Anjiang Power Station reservoir area involve 6 villagers' groups with 976 people. In 2022, the per capita net income of villagers was 22,000 yuan, and the collective economic income of the village was 350,000 yuan. As a result, the village has won many honors such as National Forest Village, Hunan Rural Revitalization Demonstration Village and Hunan Tongxin Beautiful Countryside.

In recent years, the Immigration Affairs Center of Hongjiang District Reservoir Area has stayed committed to the rural revitalization strategy. It has focused on the requirements of "prosperous industry, ecological livability, civilized rural customs, effective governance and affluent life", and unswervingly implemented the immigration policy with a view to serve the immigrant masses. Therefore, it has set priorities including improving the immigrant environment, enhancing the production and living conditions of immigrants, expanding the immigrant industry, and helping the immigrant people to increase their incomes in an effort to build a beautiful village suitable for residence and career advancement.
