Huaihua has obvious advantages in new energy resources such as water energy, wind energy, solar energy and geothermal energy. The city ranks first in the province in terms of the theoretical reserve of resources, whose river system mainly consists of the Yuanjiang River and Zijiang River. The city has multiple sites for building pumped-storage stations. The building of two large pumped-storage power stations in Chenxi and Yuanling has been incorporated into national and provincial plans. Huaihua has a vast territory, with the largest land area in the province. It is also at the forefront in terms of the theoretical reserves of wind energy and solar energy. 122 wind power and centralized PV projects of the city are included in the wind and light resource planning project library under the 14th Five-Year Plan, with a total installed capacity of 9,221,400 kilowatts. In terms of investment, SANY Group invested RMB1.2 billion in sanitation smart manufacturing projects, with an expected annual output of RMB6 billion; Harbin Electric Wind Power invested RMB5 billion in fan smart manufacturing projects, with an expected annual output of RMB5 billion; CRRC Zhuzhou Electric Co., Ltd. invested RMB500 million in fan smart manufacturing projects, with an expected annual output of RMB1 billion.
