On the morning of May 21, Wei Zhaohui, Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee of Huaihua, presided over a municipal work safety conference, emphasizing the need to thoroughly study and implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important expositions on work safety, earnestly implement the decisions and deployments of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council, and the work requirements of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government of Hunan, establish and practice a correct view of performance, and with the most resolute attitude, the most powerful measures, and the most solid work style, thoroughly investigate and rectify safety risks and hidden dangers, firmly safeguard the bottom line and red line of work safety, and contribute to the overall situation of the province with the safety of Huaihua. He Zunqing, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Secretary of the Municipal Political and Legal Committee of Huaihua, attended the conference.
Wei Zhaohui pointed out that the current work safety situation in the city remains severe and complex. Departments at all levels across the city must face up to the existing problems, strengthen their sense of responsibility, go deep into the grassroots, and meticulously implement all tasks to win the tough battle and achieve a turnaround in the rectification of safety production issues.
Wei Zhaohui emphasized that we must truly learn from the lessons, be genuinely awakened, resolutely overcome complacency and wishful thinking, and always keep safety production at the forefront of our minds. We must have "zero tolerance", resolutely eliminating any tendency towards leniency, and approach safety production with a "zero-tolerance" mindset, awareness, and attitude, truly creating a high-pressure, strict management environment. We must use the "four no's and two direct approaches" (no prior notice, no fixed route, no fixed target, no fixed time, no fixed agenda) to conduct regular unannounced inspections, identify hidden dangers and problems, and pursue them thoroughly without letting any go unpunished. We must be resolute and firm, preferring to hear criticism rather than cry for help, using strict management with care and a firm hand to force enterprises to rectify problems, resolutely upholding the bottom line of preventing accidents. We must be strict and severe, holding those who fail to fulfill their responsibilities or perform their duties accountable.
